Lavender (H3) flowers, VIII–IX; foliage rich orange-red in spring and early summer, beoming coppery orange by autumn, tipped red in winter; height 21–25cm; spread 26–30cm.
Found by J. W. Sparkes (Beechwood Nursery, Beoley, Redditch, Worcestershire, England); introduced by J. W. Sparkes about 1966.
Name alludes to the foliage colour.
